Fun with Balloons

Lately, baloons have been all over the media thanks to Balloon Boy.

It seems only appropriate my little Addie should get her share of balloon recognition as well. Afterall, she loves Balloons. However, I would never let her near a large silver “aircraft” type balloon she could crawl inside and float 7000 feet over the ground for 3 hours… but thats just me.

Here are some Addie size balloons I am happy to let her play with.

How to confuse a 1 yr old

Recently Addie has been enjoying colors. She likes to point to colors and tell us what they are.. although everything seems to be “ba” or “pa”… I try my best to tell her as many colors as I can.

Today I took one of those re-usable grocery bags to work,

Do you see where this is going? She points to the bag and I say “Orange. It’s and Orange Grocery Bag.”

Then she points to the words on the bag…”green” it says. So… “Green” I say, Addie looks at me a bit confused and says “ba”.

Yes, I tell her “Bag. Orange Grocery Bag.” Again, she points to the words.

I have to admit, at this time I am trying not to laugh and praying for a bird to fly overhead or a car to drive by, as the look gets more and more puzzled.

“Green” I say with a smile and a giggle…”The WORD says GREEN, the bag is ORANGE.”

She just stared at me.

S’up!

Mmmm Popsicle!

Alright, I admit I have spent the last hour browsing youtube videos when I should have been updating the San Fransisco blog. However, since I promised a real blog entry…

It is HOT in Utah, we are riding in the 90 degree weather almost daily. I woke up this morning to a 74 degree weather report. Yikes! It was 5:45 am!!

Addie has her own methods of cooling off thanks to sugar-free fruit pops!

PB&J

What is it?

You want me to do what? Eat it??

From 10 months

You’re Freakin Hilarious

Here goes nothing!

That wasn’t so bad…

Now you try! Sharing is Caring!!!

Today’s Agenda

Dear Mom,
Looks like today will be another busy day… please try to coordinate your schedule with mine. I feel that if we can work together, we will be much more efficient.

Today’s Agenda:

Supervise Grandma Steph making lunch, 12:00 pm
Notes: I wasn’t really into eating it, but I liked to watch, especially when Auntie Ali held me.

Test Grandma Steph’s Backyard Swing, 2:45 pm
Notes: I think because I went on a really long walk before the testing and the fact that I didn’t get a long enough nap in the stroller, I’d have to say another testing will be required.

Supervise Grandma Steph and Cousin Andy fix the refrigerator, 3:00 pm
Notes: I’m not sure what’s wrong, but I know that when there are two Polish people working, my supervision is required. It looked like a lot of fun and eventually I moved closer in an effort to support the fixing efforts. Everyone was glad I was there.

So as I said earlier, please make sure that you don’t call during these scheduled times, or during my nap time… or play time… well, mom, I’ll just talk to you when I get home.

Love,
Addie
