It’s official, Addie has been sleeping in her big girl bed for 1 week now. She loves to go jump in bed (literally). She is so proud of her big girl bed and talks about it all the time.
This was her first encounter with the big girl bed… She played like this for about an hour
Then passed out, for the WHOLE night. I’m so proud of my big girl!!

The other day while Gaummie and Gumps were watching Addie they took a trip to Sam’s Club. While riding in the kid seat of Gaummie’s cart, out of he blue Addie reached up, grabbed Gaummie’s breasts and said “Hey! Where’d you get those boobies?”

(Sitting in the rocking chair in her bedroom with Jess, the following conversation ensues)
Jess: Addie, are you ready for bed?
Addie: No, I just need to check my email…

Last night as Addie was winding down (and gearing up) for bedtime, she threw her standard I’m too tired to take a bath tantrum. As per usual, Jess picked her up and took her into the bathroom. Just as they were walking through the doorway, Addie turned her head to say “No! No!’ and WHACKED her head on the door jam.
I took her fro Jess and into the bedroom we went to calm down and make sure she wasn’t “bleed-ling“. Just as I got her calm Jess walked in. What happened next made me laugh so hard I had tears streaming down my face.
Addie put her hand on the whacked spot, looked Jess square in the eye and said to him in her most pathetic two year old voice… (but with all seriousness) “Daddy, WHY would you DO that?”
There was a moment of silence as Jess and I looked at each other trying to decide if she really said that. After it sunk in, we both started laughing pretty much uncontrollably. Fortunately, Addie is still too young to realize what was going on and just laughed with us.
