I don't have time to Blog!

No, not the Wiggles (they creep me out)… The Giggles.

You might think I’m nuts for trying to potty train a 16 month old. But really, I hate diapers.

About 3 weeks ago, we started putting Addie on the potty every morning when she woke up, before naps, after naps, before bathtime, after bathtime, and before bed. It’s just become a habit now. She doing pretty good! I won’t go into detail, but lets just say she has been successful at least once almost every day. She gets very excited when she hears the “potty sounds” and giggles and laughs for a few minutes at least.

Recently, she has started to say “bum” just minutes after going. We are getting there, hopefully soon she will say it just before!

However, don’t try to catch her “doing her business”, it’s personal afterall!

Sad… you’re so sad. Oh you’re fantastic! Now show me Happy, now your a tiger… Rawr, yes Addie Beautiful, oh the camera loves you!”

But seriously, don’t call us redneck! Fashion can still be found, even on the farm. Look, we found a Pink Tractor! Notice her pink shirt? We color coordinate everywhere we go. Did you ever watch Green Acres??

Some days are just better than others. Some days, Addie plays in the dirt and I think about how messy she is going to be, and how I dread the laundry and the bathing and the potential diseases she will get from consuming mass amounts of dirt.

Other days, I am able to let go of the “mom” in me and embrace the child. These are days I know I will remember. I won’t remember how dirty she got on the 3rd Tuesday in August, but rather how much fun she had playing in empty flower pots (cause I have a totally brown thumb).

Her creativity… while she doesn’t realize she owns it yet, astounds me.

Today PTI lost the one of the best members of our team, Shanda. When you work for a small company like I do, your co-workers become more than just co-workers. They become friends. And while I didn’t lose a friend, I lost a co-worker.

Luckily, we only live about 5 minutes apart, and her kids are always doing fun stuff, that Addie and I get invited too (Plus, I’m a closet DDR fan, and so is she).

So, with a lit Barbecue and a few bottles of wine, I lift my… umm… blog to, Shanda! You made PTI so much fun and you will be missed from 10-2 on Mondays Wednesday and Fridays (but thats flexible, I can miss you on Tuesdays and Thursdays as well if I need too).

I know I haven’t posted in a while, and I promise I will soon. Much has happened in the house of Bennion. The NEW house of Bennion, but courtesy of Cakewrecks, I saw this video that was just too cute to not pass on.

For those who know Eddie Izzard’s comedy, this will be wonderful… for those that don’t I highly reccomend you seek out his stand up comedy acts. He is absolutely hilarious!
