Addie’s first day of school was June 6th! She had her backpack, lunchbox and water bottle and was ready to go!

As I prepare to take my in class final tomorrow night in what is to be the last of my “real” Accounting classes, I feel a have accomplished quite a bit. It is good to know my efforts do not go unrecognized:

As you know (or at least I hope you know) I appreciate your thoughts and input.  As you also know, I struggle with these online finals since I truly have no say into what goes into them, what the questions even look like, etc.  I have gone back and forth on “ways” to make them more worthwhile for the class.  Your idea of “tiering” (creating my own word) the scores is interesting.  I can also curve the results.

Anyway, I do appreciate the thoughts and also your very kind words to me.  Thanks for putting up with me for the past few months.  I really enjoy teaching and having students like you in my classes makes it even that more enjoyable.  I honestly wish I could have more students like you in every class I teach……someone who wants to learn, is willing to do the work, and makes class enjoyable for everyone.  Accounting is not a passive major….it takes work.

There is no doubt in my mind that you will be successful in your accounting endeavors.  Keep up the great work and if you see me in the halls as you finish your degree (and/or go on for your Masters degree), please grab me and say “hi” and let me know how things are going.  Thanks again Michelle.

I feel so distant from my blog. My every other day posts have whittled down to just 1 a week. So while I am sure you have all missed seeing how our little family is progressing, know that I left you for very good reason, and that is was only temporary. One of the hardest classes I have ever had to take is now OVER! And, I worked my little *cough*BIG*cough* butt off to get through it with a drum roll please…

Please note the comment on the Final. Yep thats right, I got the high score! Woot! Just goes to show how a little hard work can pay off.

I can honestly say, I have never been so proud of an ‘A’. This was a REALLY difficult class for me, and I thought I would be lucky to pull a ‘C’. Go me!

Every Wednesday night when I am in class my Mother-in-Law saves the day. Jess has Masons until 9:00 and I am in class until 10:00. Steph and Ali keep addie for 14 hours on Wednesdays! But I doubt Addie misses us at all… Even bath time is fun!
