Lack of Blogging

Posted by: Michelle  /  Category: school

I feel so distant from my blog. My every other day posts have whittled down to just 1 a week. So while I am sure you have all missed seeing how our little family is progressing, know that I left you for very good reason, and that is was only temporary. One of the hardest classes I have ever had to take is now OVER! And, I worked my little *cough*BIG*cough* butt off to get through it with a drum roll please

Please note the comment on the Final. Yep thats right, I got the high score! Woot! Just goes to show how a little hard work can pay off.

I can honestly say, I have never been so proud of an ‘A’. This was a REALLY difficult class for me, and I thought I would be lucky to pull a ‘C’. Go me!

Easter Chicks

Posted by: Michelle  /  Category: Addie, Holiday, family and friends

Easter this year just beautiful! It was great weather and Addie had so much fun! She and I woke up bright and early and had breakfast. She got dressed in her new Easter dress, and I did her hair in those adorable little pigtails.

We woke up Daddy and headed down to Grams and Grumps house for a late lunch.

While we were there she got a chance to explore the backyard

She saw a bird…

Walked around a little bit…

And found a flower!

After a much needed nap it was off to Grandma Steph’s house for a later dinner and some socializing (I unfortunately didn’t get any pictures at Grandma Stephs house), but Addie always has a blast when she is there!

Grams got her a pink sand pail filled with goldfish crackers, sun dried tomato puffs and Addie’s favorite, yogurt covered rasins. Of course in lieu of the new Easter tradition, Addie got a new pair of shoes and a new outfit as well.

Grandma Steph got her a nice basket lined with bright royal blue fabric filled with goodies for both Addie and Jess and I. Girl Scout Cookies and pink mints for Jess and I, and a new dress and some much needed onsies for the upcoming summer season.

Hooray for Easter!

You’re nobody till somebody loves you…

And somebody sure does love me!!! YUM! Thanks Jess, I love you too

Today’s Agenda

Posted by: Michelle  /  Category: Just for Fun

Dear Mom,
Looks like today will be another busy day… please try to coordinate your schedule with mine. I feel that if we can work together, we will be much more efficient.

Today’s Agenda:

Supervise Grandma Steph making lunch, 12:00 pm
Notes: I wasn’t really into eating it, but I liked to watch, especially when Auntie Ali held me.

Test Grandma Steph’s Backyard Swing, 2:45 pm
Notes: I think because I went on a really long walk before the testing and the fact that I didn’t get a long enough nap in the stroller, I’d have to say another testing will be required.

Supervise Grandma Steph and Cousin Andy fix the refrigerator, 3:00 pm
Notes: I’m not sure what’s wrong, but I know that when there are two Polish people working, my supervision is required. It looked like a lot of fun and eventually I moved closer in an effort to support the fixing efforts. Everyone was glad I was there.

So as I said earlier, please make sure that you don’t call during these scheduled times, or during my nap time… or play time… well, mom, I’ll just talk to you when I get home.

Love,
Addie

MS Walk 2009, done and done!

Posted by: Michelle  /  Category: family and friends

Looks like I hit my $400 mark after all… thanks to a last minute donation (I LOVE LOVE LOVE you Rayn!!!!) Just wanted to add that in.

You can still donate by clicking here… I remind you even a dollar helps, so if you live in Ohio (or anywhere else for that matter) and read my blog, I urge you to donate a dollar or more for all the entertainment I provide you free of charge!!
Now, on with the walk!

This morning was the MS 2009 Walk at the Gateway Center in Downtown SLC. What fun! It was bitterly cold and Windy so Addie got bundled up nice and warm and we braved the outdoors with about 3000 other people.

We woke bright and early (about 6:15) and had breakfast, played about for a bit then headed to Gateway where we registered. I got my hat, shirt and gold (orange) balloon to walk with.

Addie grabbed a bagel (literally) and we sat down to wait. And wait. And wait. Did I mention it was cold? At about 9, I took Addie back to the car so we could warm up and she would settle down enough to take a nap.

At 10:00, a last minute purchase of a golf umbrella at Dicks sporting goods put my mind at ease, just in case it rained, and we were off!

Not that we raced by any means. I started walking with Team Lizard and my good friends Kat, Mat and Lukas. But somewhere along the lines lost them in the crowd and met up with Nadia, Dimitri and their German Shepherd Max. Dimitri was my reason for walking… and an awesome friend and husband to one of my BFF’s I might add!

It was a 3 mile trek through downtown salt lake. It took about an hour and 45 minutes, including a 20 minute stop at the half way point for bananas and oranges. Addie did amazingly well and didn’t cry at all, despite the wind.

At the end of the walk we all received applause and gold medals for participating, Even Addie and Max got one!

What a wonderful way to spend a Saturday Morning. I feel great for having walked 3+ miles, and feel even better knowing I did it for MS, and finding a cure!

Thanks to those who have already donated!! We have almost $300 which means when I walk I will be walking with a Gold Balloon!! I couldn’t have done it without you!!

Water Cooler Bowling

One particularly busy and stressful week, we decided to take 10 minutes at the end of Friday day to breathe…(have I ever mentioned we don’t really take breaks other than lunch at my office, so when we do, they have to be filled with fun!) and what did we decide to do with that time?

WATER COOLER BOWLING!
(Did I mention the big boss was in Florida this whole time??)

April Fools!

Posted by: Michelle  /  Category: work

So this post is a little overdue seeing as how it is April 6th, but between work being ridiculously busy and school being just as crazy, I have had no time to post.
April Fools Day went a little crazy this year. It started off with some packing peanuts…

Then a few more… and a closed door….

Chris said he didn’t think his office was full of peanuts, but he sure did open the door slowly!

Then my keys got hidden, DARN! and then… it was ON! On like Donkey Kong!

All in all it was a great day!
