Up-Do

It is amazing how complete is the delusion that beauty is goodness. ~Leo Tolstoy

Speaking of Dinosaurs

Thursday night Jess, Ryan, Melissa and I went to the ESA to see “Walking with the Dinosaurs.” I have to admit it was pretty cool, the dinosaurs were huge and had some very lifelike (I assume) movements. They would sniff the air and cough, clear their throats and ROAR (along with all the kids in the Audience). Really a good time, the show goes on through the weekend, so if you get the chance to pick up some extra tickets it would be worth your while. The upper bowl seats aren’t to expensive and since the dinosaurs are so big… upper bowl has a really good view of the whole thing!
I was instructed not to take video as a dinosaur might eat me… “or worse”. But I took my chances. I’m still here, I’ll let you know if something “worse” happens.
Unfortunately my camera died right in the middle of the Jurassic Period, so you won’t be seeing any T-Rex footage from me, since they were featured during the Cretacious. Seriously, do you believe me now when I say my baby laughs like a dinosaur?!?

She laughs like a Dinosaur

What daddy does when mommy’s not home…

Grumps

I can’t tell who is having more fun, Addie… or Grumps

Just cause I think it’s Funny

Chris and Wes were in the front office earlier today looking rather worried when I mentioned they were both featured in my blog. Here is their Feature Photo:

This was taken at the PTI Christmas Party. Karaoke and Guitar Hero were very popular! The battery on my camera died early in the night so I didn’t get many photos. I am waiting for some to surface from other co-workers and I will backdate a post about the party itself.

New Years Eve at the Cheesecake Factory

As many of you know PTI is seriously the best company to work for ever. In 2008 we hit our 7 million dollar sales goal and were taken to the Cheesecake factory as a reward.

While I didn’t get very many photos, this will give you an idea of what we do when we are waiting for the food to arrive. Needless to say, any time PTI goes out to eat, we get our food pretty fast

After only 5 photos of Wes, we got our food. Shanda ordered a mountain of meat and fried goodness! Unusual since she usually just orders a salad or some weight watches meal… It was worthy of a photo!

15 Reasons I’m Losing My Hair

1. I lose tiny socks in the wash
2. I can shower, wash and dry my hair, and get dressed in less than ten minutes
3. I fantasize about what I would swap for a good eight hours of sleep
4. I wonder whether it’s possible to get all the crud out of Addie’s skin folds
5. Thank God for caffeine
6. I pretend I don’t smell a dirty diaper when I her hand her to Jess
7. My left hip is now 2 inches lower than my right
8. I have come up with a soothing mantra — for me — for when I take her rectal temperature
9. I pack everything Addie could possibly need for a weekend and forget my sunglasses or toothbrush
10. I detest traffic — it means I’m either late picking her up, or stuck in the car even longer with the fusspot
11. I hear about criminals on the news and wonder what their moms are doing
12. I am excited when she grows out of one size and into the next
13. I am sad to put away what she’s grown out of
14. I hear myself telling brand-new moms that the first 12 weeks really do fly by, even though it pissed me off when people told me that
15. I feel naked when I walk outside alone

Why I will look better bald:
I forget all about my difficult day with Addie when I finally see her sleeping peacefully at night
I marvel at the volumes of unconditional love I have for my most wonderful achievement — Adeline

New Years Eve

In standard Form Jess and I decided to visit Area 51 for New Years Eve. My parents agreed to watch Addie for the night so we could have some fun.

Of Course, don’t think that Addie missed out on all the fun. Grams and Grumps made sure she was able to celebrate too.
