For the first time in, well… forever, I wasn’t worried about what I was going to be for Halloween. I was worried about what Addie was going to be, then how I could compliment that. In early October I started to research costumes and find “the cutest one” well, we found a hippo costume that was just adorable! But, when it arrived in the mail, the body of the costume fit, but the head would not have fit a 1 year old! After much ordeal with the company I purchased it from (that’s another blog for another day) I was unable to return it for a different costume. I called it a loss, vowed never to do business with that company again and looked for another costume
Enter Wal-Mart. Costume Superstore! I found a pumpkin (she wore it 3 times…totally worth it!):

and a cute little puppy outfit that was originally going to be a sleeper set for her, but in the end, turned out to be her costume! She looked just adorable! Grandma Steph and Auntie Ali watched her in the morning (as usual, thanks guys!) then brought her down to my office for our Annual Halloween Party. She was a smash hit!

Cats and Dogs don’t always get along, but I am glad in my case she made an exception!
Although she had been a bit cranky that day, so it was a rough start to a great day.
Here are some other photos from the Halloween Party at my office (All these were taken on my camera phone, sorry for the quality)
Wes and Chloe, she borrowed my ears for a bit…

Nate and little Cooper (I didn’t snag a picture of Lily, but the day before they were Cowpokes, Kristel made their costumes and they were just adorable)

We were let home early (at about 4) and back to Grandma Stephs I went to pick up my little puppy. We drove straight to Shirley’s house. Shirley has been home for a week recovering from shoulder surgery, but I was not going to let her miss Addie’s first Halloween. Miles (Shirley’s grandson) was a strongman, and I know Shirley was anxious to see him. They are just 4 months apart, so Shirley is loved by many babies.
Once we left Shirleys house it was off to Grams and Grumps house for a visit and some trick or treating (well ok, Grams and I took the candy, but Addie was the real treat!) Once again, I forgot to take pictures of them with Addie (Worse yet, I didn’t get any of Addie and Jess or Steph and Ali! Man, I am so bad with these)
While down at Grams house, we decided to go visit our good friend Lisa for her First real trick-or-treat! Lisa loves babies and just loved having her down for a visit, and as you can see, Addie just loves Lisa! Although it was brief it was fun to show her off.

Addie was getting tired, so we decided to call it a night. I think this was also the first Halloween I was in bed before 10:00! What a wonderful first Halloween!!
Special thanks to Steph and Ali for being such troopers with a baby that didn’t want to be in a Halloween costume to begin with and toting her all around town for her mommy.
