Big Trip to Park City

Posted by: Michelle  /  Category: Addie, family and friends

This weekend we booked our condo in Park City and were going to spend 3 days and 2 nights. As it turns out I got sick on Friday night (possibly Food Poisoning??) So Addie, Crystal and I went up for 1 night and 2 days on Saturday morning. Addie requires a lot of luggage for an overnight trip, as you can see

We had a leisurely morning while Jess, Grams, Uncle Tony, Gen and the girls came up. We had a leisurely morning and spent most of our time getting dressed and ready to head up to Main Street for lunch and window shopping.
We decided to take the bus up rather than drive and try to battle the main street parking lots. We walked about a 1/2 mile up to the bus stop and on the way my mom commented on how I looked like a real mom pushing the stroller, so we stopped to commemorate the moment.

Once we got on the bus Addie looked little freaked out. It was loud and rumbley, but she didn’t cry so we figured it couldn’t have been all bad.

We stopped at the Brewery to have lunch, and I enjoyed some Pumpkin Ale. I gave Addie a few drops, and she loved it! Every time I tried to take the glass away she would grab it and pull it back in just like a bottle.

When we were done with lunch we started to head down Main Street to meet up with Jess. On the way we stopped it at the Love Your Pet Bakery to look around. Little did we know on the second floor were 4 GIANT Newfoundlands. These dog seriously weighed close to 120-130 pounds each! Even the 5 month old puppy probably weighed around 75 pounds or so. Addie was just fascinated. Unfortunately, the dogs didn’t feel the same way, once they sniffed her, they moved on to the next guest. However, there was one particularly lazy dog who posed for a picture.

The picture doesn’t really do justice to the size of the dog, but you can imagine!
We got back to the condo and visited for a while, then Jess took a nap, so we decided to have some more girl time and gave ourselves pedicures. Addie was a little wiggly, but we finally won and all had beautiful toes before too long.

Next was bath time and Pirates of the Caribbean, and off to bed. Today we are going shopping at the outlet malls and are sure to find many more treasures!

Addie looked so much like Jess for the first few months of her life, I was beginning to doubt she was mine, but as the picture below shows… she really is. :)

Thats me on the left and Jess on the right. I think Addie is the perfect mix of both of us. Don’t you?

Boo!

Cousins Sue and Andy come for a visit

Posted by: Michelle  /  Category: family and friends

I have some catching up to do, school started again and I am just not finding the time to blog. But as my sister in law Ali told me, just start putting stuff up, you can always come back to it later.

Sue and Andy (Sue is Stephanie’s first cousin) came to Utah from Chicago…or Wisconsin (I am not sure which house they live in right now), about a week and half ago to visit. I always enjoy their visits. Andy has great insight and strong opinions about things I would normally not think about, so he always gets my brain running. Sue has such a fun personality and can bring a smile to any conversation with very little effort.

Last time they were in Utah I was pregnant, just barely…it was around December. So to see them light up as they held our little Addie was such a delight. They went on many adventures with Steph, Ali, Grandma Juanita and Grandpa Ted. I am not sure if Addie was ever put down! She loved the attention I am sure, and slept very well that week, but then, love will do that to a baby.

Andy was so good at making Addie laugh!

Sue kept telling me how she was going to steal Addie and take her home, I said it was ok, as long as I could come and visit :)

It’s Halloweeeeeen Time!

Posted by: Michelle  /  Category: family and friends

This is the first, and probably last chance I will have to put Addie in absolutely anything I want. Any Halloween costume with no back talk. So I have decided to make 4 or 5 Halloweens during the month of October. Grama Steph and Auntir Ali have jumped on the bandwagon. Last week at Ikea they found some VERY Cute masks and Addie didn’t seem to mind wearing them at all.
So, here is Halloween One:

God’s Gift to Mom

Posted by: Michelle  /  Category: Addie, Milestones

was my baby, but God’s other gift to mom… the EXERSAUCER!!!

No Joke, she has been in this thing for 20 minutes and it even beat out Baby Einstein… her other favorite. It’s playing in the background, note once she stops to watch it, but then goes back to the toys.

(the video is about 3 minutes of the same.. so when you get bored it’s ok to stop. She doesn’t grow wings or fly the exersaucer into space)

Life’s Like an Hourglass Glued to the Table

Anna Nalick hit the nail on the head with those lyrics. If I could grab that hourglass and turn it on it’s side just for a little while I would. This was a picture from July of this year. Great Grandma Lentz bought her this shirt and it was her first piece of mail, and also her first blogging experience.
This is Addie at 5 weeks wearing her new shirt…

This is her now.

Holy Crap! What happened to my baby??? My little girl that was not going to fit into this shirt until she was 6 months old is now 16 weeks and I am not really sure how I got this shirt on her this morning! (It was very tough to get her arms through, and if she grows even a centimeter today, we will have to cut it off her!)

Our next doctors appointment in on Momday… er Monday the 6th. I am so excited to see how much she has grown!
