Most children have grandmas and grandpa, or granny’s and pappys. Addie has a Gram and Grump on my side. Being as this is their first grandchild I decided to give my parents the opportunity to “name themselves”. This went on for a few weeks before decisions were made.
My mom was content being Grandma Nichols, then Grandma Bobbi, then decided she really likes Grams. This is good. When she goes crazy, we’ll call her Gram Crackers!
My dad was just going to be Grandpa (as he is the olny one). But then in lieu of the Disney fanatic I am, he decided to be Grumpa (Ok that and he thinks he is grumpy in general)
I am sure she will come up with her own names for them the way My brother Tony and I did, but until the, I am just thrilled.

I think it’s great that you let them choose their name! That was an awesome thing about having the first on our side too
Plus the grandparents SO grow into their names! It’s so fun.
