Baby’s First Present

Jess and I have been getting gifts as new parents for a few weeks now, they have all been SO helpful (great reading, thanks to everyone) and beautiful (thanks Shell). But yesterday at my parents house the baby got “his” first present. My dad went to Lowes looking for something you would buy at Lowes, and ran across a Winnie the Pooh Toy.
Jess and I chose Winnie the pooh as the theme for the nursery… Well not really, I suggested it and Jess (being the best man in the whole world) said “listen lady, if you have to carry that baby inside you for 9 months, you deserve to decorate that nursery any way you want.” Which translated probably means, “you say you want my opinion now, but later at 8 months, if I say no, you will rip my head off for not letting you choose Winnie the Pooh.” Either way, Isn’t he the best??? He understands portions of pregnancy he hasn’t even been through yet!
Anyway, back to point at hand, my dad forgot what he was going to get for himself and just bought the toy (I think…maybe he bought some other stuff, I can’t remember what he said now.) Either way, it was so flattering to think that no matter where my daddy goes he is thinking of his new Grandbaby!
